Summary of Insurance Warranty

Travel Assistance Guarantee

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE (even in the event of a Covid-19 that directly affects the Insured, a family member travelling with him or a travelling companion). For example: Medical Consultation, Sending a doctor or ambulance in Italy, referral to a specialist doctor abroad, etc.

VEHICLE ASSISTANCE: Roadside Assistance and Depannage

ASSISTANCE TO FAMILY MEMBERS STAYING AT HOME: Medical advice and dispatch of a doctor or ambulance in Italy

Medical Expense Reimbursement Guarantee

Europ Assistance pays or reimburses urgent and unpostponable medical/pharmaceutical/hospital expenses incurred in the place of the claim, during the period of the Trip, due to sudden illness or injury, including COVID-19 positivity, up to the following limits 

- Euro 1,500.00 if you are a resident of Italy for stays in Italy;

- Euro 5,000.00 if you are an Italian resident for stays abroad;

- Euro 5,000.00 if you are a resident abroad for stays in Italy.

Hospitalization Indemnity Guarantee

The guarantee may be requested, upon return from the trip, in the event of hospitalization of at least 5 consecutive days for COVID-19. Europ Assistance will pay an indemnity of € 1,000.00 per claim.

Baggage Coverage

LUGGAGE AND PERSONAL EFFECTS

Europ Assistance shall indemnify the material and direct damages caused by theft or loss by the air carrier to baggage up to a maximum of € 750.00 per claim and per policy period.

DELAYED DELIVERY OF BAGGAGE

Europ Assistance shall reimburse unforeseen expenses incurred to purchase personal hygiene items and/or clothing up to a maximum of €250.00 and only for delayed delivery at the destination airport of the outbound trip.

Covid-19 Cancellation + Cancellation Guarantee

The guarantee may be requested when it is necessary to cancel or modify the booked trip due to objectively documentable, unforeseeable causes or events that are not known at the time of confirming the trip and that directly affect the insured party or his/her family members.

The guarantee may also be requested when it is necessary to cancel or modify the booked trip, following a Covid-19 positive result which has directly affected the insured or his/her family members living with the insured or his/her travel companion.

Europ Assistance shall reimburse in full the penalty fee charged for cancellation or modification of the Trip up to Euro 5,000.00 for the entire stay booked.

PRE-EXISTING AND CHRONIC ILLNESSES ARE EXCLUDED

Trip Refund Guarantee

The guarantee may be requested if you are forced to interrupt your stay in the event of hospitalisation due to a Covid-19 epidemic/pandemic, forced quarantine due to Covid-19 or orders/regulations imposed by the control bodies of your country of origin require you to return to your residence early;

Europ Assistance will reimburse the cost of your unused stay for the number of days you are unable to complete your stay from the day of interruption.

Extended Stay Guarantee

The guarantee may be requested if you are forced to extend your stay due to the epidemic/pandemic for Covid-19 (with proven positive results for the Insured Person, a family member travelling with him/her or a travel companion).

Europ Assistance shall indemnify the amount of Euro 100.00 per day for a maximum of 15 days, per Insured Person and per period of duration of the Cover.

If, for the same reasons provided for above, the Insured Person must purchase new tickets or change those in his/her possession, Europ Assistance shall reimburse the additional costs.

DISCOVERY

- no uncovered sum in the event of DEATH or RECOVERY
- 15% uncovered for all events not related to DEATH or RECOVERY
- 20% in the case of penalty settlement which provides for 100% penalty starting from the 30th day of the beginning of the stay
